Got rip off in Bombay
My dad blowing an almost the biggest ballon in Bombay, India 2014.
Mina föräldrar pratade om Indien vid middag idag och de skrattade åt hur sura de blev när de blev lurade på ballonger i Bombay. På gatorna i Bombay fanns det säljare överallt och några sålde enorma ballonger som mamma ville absolut köpa till mina kusiner. Efter nästan 2 månader i Indien visste de att gatusäljarna inte var att lita på, men denna gång glömde de bort alla reglerna.
Regel:
1. Köp för priset man tycker själv är korrekt för alla! Mina föräldrar har alltid varit emot snåla turister som vill pruta om 1-5 kr. Ibland fattar de inte att 1-5 kr kan faktis betyda mycket för en säljarens familj i Indien t ex. Men vissa turister har en sånt stor ego att de inte vill bli "lurade" på 1-5 kr även när man ser att säljaren nästan svälter.
Tycker du att tröjan är värd 5kr köp den även om du vet den verkliga priset är 3kr.
2. Ta ut varorna ur förpackning. Känn och lukta på varan.
3. Om man ser att säljaren är aggresiv och överdriver med priset. Köp aldrig från den säljaren!
4. Om säljaren har bråttom att sälja som t ex att varan är den sista och han har reserverat till en annan kund som snart kommer tillbaka, men för dig ger han den för halva priset. Eller att han ska göra ett ärende och man måste snabbt bestämma sig.
Väl, mina föräldrar glömde bort alla dessa regel när de köpte ballongerna och de var påväg mot hotellet när samma säljaren kom ikapp mina föräldrar och sa att de har blivit lurade och ballongerna de fick inte alls var den största. Han erbjud min föräldrar för halva priset de största ballongerna som mina föräldrar egentligen ville ha. Less på allt gick mina föräldrar bara vidare. På hotel rummet blåste min pappa upp en ballong. Ballongen var verkligen stor, men tyvärr inte den största!
Today by dinner my parents talked about India and they laught of how mad they were when they got rip off of ballons in Bombay. On the streets in Bombay there were vendors everywhere and some were selling huge ballons that my mum wanted to absolutely buy for my cousins. After almost 2 month in India they knew that the street vendors are not to be trust but this time they just forgot of all the rules.
Rules:
1. Buy for the price you think it's correct for everybody. My parents dislike cheap turist that always bargain about 1-5$. Sometimes they just don't understand that 1-5$ means alot for a poor vendors family for exempel in India. But some turist have so big ego and all they think about it's not to get rip off by 1-5$ even if it's cleary that the vendor is starving. If you think that the shirt is worth 5$ buy it even if you know that the real price is 3$.
2. Take out the item. Touch and smell it.
3. If the vendor is aggresiv and putting the price way to high. Never buy from that vendor!
4. If the vendor is in a hurry to sell you the product for exempel he say that it's the last item and he have put it aside for a client but for you he will sell it for half of the price. Or that he has to go on an errand and one has to decide quickly.
Well, all those rules my parent forgot so they bought the ballons and were heading for the hotel. The same vendor came running behind and told them that they got fooled and that the ballons weren't the biggest ballons they wanted. If they want, they can buy it from him the biggest ballons for the half price. My parents were so tired of everything so they just continued walking.
Once back at the hotel room my dad blew up a ballon. It was huge, but not the biggest one!
